Adele, a multi-millionaire, claims she moved to Los Angeles because she “couldn’t afford” to live in London.
The singer, who is worth £130 million ($177 million), told British Vogue that she bought three Beverly Hills mansions to get more bang for her buck.
‘I could never afford a house like mine in LA in London.’ ‘Never,’ said the Tottenham native to the publication.

The Grammy winner went on to say that she spent the majority of her time in London ‘in a car or inside a building,’ and that she wished to relocate to a place with ‘fresh air and a view of the sky.’
Adele, who has a nine-year-old son with Simon Konecki named Angelo, said she ‘looked at houses’ in London before relocating to the United States in 2016.
‘Hundreds of millions of pounds,’ she estimated. ‘I don’t have nearly enough money.’ ‘I’d pass out.’

She also praised Los Angeles’ improved weather.
‘Once I had Angelo, you’re f***ed in England if you don’t have a plan with a young child and it’s raining,’ she explained.
According to The New York Post, the Hello singer owns a trio of Los Angeles mansions worth a combined $30 million (£22 million).
Despite this, she described her home as a “very British cottage.”
She spent a lot of money on her compound’s third home earlier this year.
On May 26, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion, complete with pool and basketball court, sold for $9,950,000.

According to the New York Post, the star lives in a gated community with Katy Perry, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman, and Keith Urban.
Meanwhile, she lives in one of the homes with Simon, whom she divorced earlier this year, so ‘nothing changes for Angelo,’ she told the outlet.
Adele also has a London home that she describes as “like Italian or something,” adding, “I don’t even want to sit down in it.”
Adele was born in Tottenham and raised in the Brixton neighborhood.
Her real estate endeavors are far from her humble beginnings when she was raised by her single mother Penny in a series of south London flats, including one above the This, That, and the Other Discount Store in West Norwood.
