She made her film debut in the fantasy comedy North (1994). Johansson shifted to adult roles in 2003 with her performances in Lost in Translation, which won her a BAFTA Award for Best Actress.

Scarlett Johansson acted in the first film in 1994, which was named ‘North’, at that time she was only nine years old. She later acted in films like ‘Just Cause’, ‘If Lucy Fell’ and ‘Many and Lou’.
In 2002, she enrolled at Professional Children’s School in Manhattan. There she trained in theatre.
In 2003, after her graduation, she played her first adult role as ‘Charlotte’ in the comedy drama film, ‘Lost in Translation’. In the same year, she appeared in the film ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring.’

In September 2013, she got engaged to Romain Dauriac, who owns an advertising agency. On 4 September 2014, her representatives confirmed that she had given birth to a daughter, Rose Dorothy, but the date of birth is not known. The couple wed on October 1, 2014, in Philipsburg, Montana, though the public didn’t get wind of the announcement until December. Unfortunately this marriage did not last long and they got divorced in 2017.
In May 2019, it was revealed that Johansson and SNL writer and “Weekend Update” anchor Colin Jost got engaged after two years of dating. The pair tied the knot in October 2020.

Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, Manhattan, New York City. Her father Karsten Olaf Johansson is an architect. Her paternal grandfather Ejner Johansson was an art historian, screenwriter, and film director. Her mother Melanie Sloan worked as a producer.
Johansson attended PS 41, an elementary school in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. As a child, Johansson practiced acting by staring in the mirror until she made herself cry.
