It’s been more than a month since Healy Aria Baldwin was criticized for a statement about her legacy, and in a long Instagram caption, she apologized for taking the time to “listen” and “reflect” the situation. She wrote that her parents raised her to her two cultures, felt connected to both American and Spanish cultures, and hoped to share her teeth with her children.
“I have heard, reflected and asked myself how I could learn and grow over the past month. My parents have raised my brother and me in two cultures, America and Spain, and I feel a real sense of belonging to both. I am in myself. And my deep relationship to the two cultures could be better explained. “I am proud of the way I grew up. We are raising children to share the same love and respect for both of us. It is what we have built a community that pushes ourselves to learn and grow as we become vulnerable. We hope to return to the supportive and friendly environment we have built together.”

The controversy arose because a Twitter user wrote her article about Baldwin’s “10-year long story in which she pretended to be a Spanish.” When an internet detective did an in-depth analysis and sang Baldwin’s ethnic and cultural background and her accent, the whole situation caught Amy Schumer’s attention and led Alec Baldwin to quit Twitter.
In early 2021, Hilaria wrote in an Instagram post “In the past I tried to clarify, but sometimes people don’t report and write your words. I was born in Boston, my childhood in Boston, my childhood in Spain… Everyone is in Spain now and I’m here, so I’ve been back and forth a lot throughout my life.”
Entertainment Tonight adds that Hilaria was named Hillary Hayward-Thomas when she was born. Although she was born in Boston, not Spain, her family, including her brother and parents, now lives in Mallorca.
