Celebrated designer Masaba Gupta chose the perfect throwback images from her childhood to sum up her mood for the current year. Masaba, the daughter of actress Neena Gupta and former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards, shared two memories of when she was a child or should we say a “gift” (her words from hers, not ours)? Her unique style of hers in those throwback images is winning the internet. In the first photo, pint-sized Masaba Gupta can be seen sporting a Bantu knot hairstyle and wearing a white T-shirt as she poses for the camera with a poker face. The second photo of Masaba gives off great “don” vibes, with his braided hairstyle and “gangster” expression.
Sharing the images, Masaba wrote: “February 2021 Vs April 2021: swipe to enjoy.” In the comment section of her post, when MAMI Artistic Director Smriti Kiran wrote, “Wow! Gangster Gupta,” Masaba replied, “The reluctant gangster.” In reaction to a comment in which a friend of hers called her “Don”, the designer wrote: “The Don”.
